Washington
Commanders
Internship

I have spent the 2024-25 NFL season as a social media intern with the Washington Commanders. This experience changed my life in more ways than I can count. To be part of such a historic season for Washington is more than I could have asked for as my first job after graduating. Prior to this, I had never worked in football. Not only did I learn so much, but I also became a huge fan of the NFL in the process. Working in football has expanded my skillset and appreciation for the sport. I've always enjoyed watching football, especially during my years at Auburn. I did not grow up with any loyalties to an NFL team, so I took a leap of faith with this one. My gratitude to this organization overflows. HTTC!

The Commanders social team gave me so much creative freedom with the content I contributed. I created countless memes, TikToks and Instagram Stories to name a few. The sheer amount of content a social team creates throughout an entire season is too much to count. We constantly ideate, create and manage for all of the team's social media channels. Below are several of the projects I worked on. The "Gen Z Intern" is a title I believe I embodied while still creating relevant and productive content. Early on in the season, we began creating meme carousels as part of our win posts. Immediately, creating win memes became one of my favorite tasks. I have included several of these memes below in addition to short form videos. Happy scrolling!
